A message from Stephen and Tricia Morris:-

' We are recruiting crew for the leg we are about to do from Lymington to La Coruna.  Our plan is to leave on or about 10 June, and head direct to La Coruna if possible.  If the weather doesn’t present a suitable window, we will halt in Devon or Cornwall.  From there it will be across Biscay without stopping in France. We plan to take the offshore route, so it will be round the clock sailing.  We expect the trip to take about a week, but recognise that we may need to wait at the start, so have allowed ourselves 3 weeks in which to make the trip.  We are looking for 2 or 3 people to join us.

Michael Sabine, a new member to the Club has opportunities for crew to join him sailing this June.

The legs available are the  attractive options of hops up the W.Europe coast and a short crossing of S.Biscay.

On offer are three one week legs of differing character:

8 Jun   Lisbon to La Coruna, inshore with night sailings

16 Jun La Coruna to La Rochelle, mainly offshore across S.Biscay

23 Jun La Rochelle to Brest, inshore with shorter legs and all the delights of S.Britanny.

Michael needs a minimum of one crew per leg with provable experience commensurate with requirements of RYA Coastal. There is flexibility to combine legs, ‘mix and match’, change route and massage dates.

Additionally there is space aboard from Brest to CIs, Cherbourg and Gosport. Astronavigation tuition is available on the second leg. No contribution is required though crew take care of personal travel.

The outward trip starts early May so I would appreciate a timely response from anyone interested in joining up.
