RacING

An exciting range of Solent-based club racing is on offer running over nine weekends with 15 races each season.  It's a huge strength of club and easy to take part as we use the free to obtain YTC Handicap system.

Race with us

Our annual programme of club racing offers a competitive but fun set of races. Typically extending over a weekend, we offer a range of race formats from passage races, two handed racing and a regatta based weekend.

Yachts simply require a YTC Based Handicap to take part, which is simple and free to obtain and designed for club racing.

We use the YTC handicap as the base for each yacht to start the racing year, and then progressively adapt each yacht’s handicap during the year based on actual performance.

This approach provides a continuing challenge for all entrants, ensuring a more level playing field during the racing season based on actual results.

Our racing events usually stretch over a weekend, based in and around the Solent and typically include a meal on Saturday evening – a chance to mix and mull over the day’s racing

This page shows all Racing events including the Wednesday night briefing sessions.
